PERMA-Lead Social Impact – 360° feedback for non-profit organizations

PERMA-Lead Social Impact is a global project, through which we enable 50 leaders from non- profit organizations – regardless of the country in which they operate – to receive a complete 360° feedback including an evaluation coaching and accompanying coaching sessions, free of charge.

This project is made possible through the voluntary commitment of those involved. 65 certified PERMA-Lead consultants provide their experience and time free of charge, thereby enabling high-quality support for leaders in non-profit organizations.

Why is PERMA-Lead Social Impact important?

Leadership competencies are crucial for the success of any organization – also and especially in the social sector. However, non-profit organizations often lack the financial resources to benefit from high-quality leadership development programs. In this project, the entire process is free of charge for the participating leaders. Each of the 50 participating leaders receives a 360° feedback assessment along with five individual coaching sessions – a valuable instrument to promote reflection, further development, and a sustainable leadership culture.

How does the process work?

After the application, an independent committee decides whether participation in the program is possible. The leaders are then assigned to a certified PERMA-Lead consultant. In the next step, the 360° feedback survey is conducted online. You can find more information about this here: test-procedures

After the evaluation report has been completed, the results are discussed with the respective consultant and the leader, and individual development measures are derived from them. After a few weeks, there is another coaching session to reflect on the implementation and further steps to be taken. The entire process is supported by qualified, certified consultants.

What are the criteria for participation?

Leaders can apply for the PERMA-Lead Social Impact if they:

work in a non-profit organization (e.g., an association, public institution, fund or social project)
regularly lead at least three team members – including volunteers
work in an organization with no more than 150 employees
work in a field that contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (more information about the SDGs can be found here: THE 17 GOALS | Sustainable Development)
speak German or English

The project is international – leaders can apply from anywhere in the world as long as they speak German or English.

Both employed and volunteer managers are eligible to apply.

Important: Applications must be submitted by the leader themselves, not by the organization. Multiple leaders from the same organization may apply.

Who is behind PERMA-Lead Social Impact?

Dr. Markus Ebner, organizational psychologist and founder of the PERMA-Lead leadership model, and his team launched this project. However, the initiative would not be possible without the voluntary commitment of the PERMA-Lead consultants. PERMA-Lead has developed into an international network with around 1,700 highly trained consultants in more than 20 countries.

PERMA-Lead Social Impact was therefore deliberately designed as a global project and is open to leaders from non-profit organizations worldwide. 65 certified consultants are volunteering for this project – 50 conduct the individual 360° feedback assessments with coaching, while 10 experienced experts provide supervision. All of those involved are qualified consultants who support non-profit organizations with passion and professional expertise.
